Las Vegas

The Luxor hotel was pretty impressive and very cleverly put together.  We went to see the Blue Man Group there.  This was cool, lots of weird percussion and great performance.  Unfortunately we both have audience participation phobia and were terrified that we would be picked.  Luckily we managed to escape that dire fate!

The strip at night looks amazing.  The biggest display of neon we've ever seen.  Roberta liked the Bellagio best and we both thought the shopping arcade at Caesar's Palace was very well done.

     Casino Royale sign.

    The pirate ship at Treasure Island.  This place had quite a show on, including a volcanic eruption!

        A lot of the casinos were themed on cities like Paris, New York and Venice, complete with all the major landmarks.

The Hoover Dam

We drove across the Hoover Dam on our way to Vegas.  We especially liked some of the wonderful art deco touches.  Unfortunately only one photo came out as we took them from the car.  We intended to go back and see it properly, but never quite made it.
